I am 21 years old, a female realtor, and still very early in my career. Starting a real estate podcast at this age may seem unusual, especially in an industry where many of the people I meet have been working for 20, 30 or even 40 years. But that is exactly why I wanted to start Off Market.
The biggest reason behind starting this podcast was actually very simple: I wanted to learn.
Since entering real estate and starting Evoque Realty, I have realised that some of the most valuable things I learn do not come from reports, property brochures or market data. They come from conversations with people who have actually lived through different phases of the industry.
I wanted the opportunity to sit across from people with decades of experience and ask them the questions I genuinely have. I want to understand how the market has changed, how important deals came together, what went wrong along the way, and what someone at the beginning of their career can learn from people who have already lived through multiple market cycles.
That is where the idea of Off Market came from.
In real estate, something that is off market is not available to everyone. I felt the same way about these conversations. So much knowledge in this industry stays within private rooms, personal relationships and years of experience. The podcast gives me a chance to learn from those conversations first-hand, and at the same time, share them with anyone else who may find value in them.
Being a young woman in real estate makes me even more curious to understand the industry from people who have seen it evolve long before I entered it.
I am not starting Off Market because I have all the answers.
I am starting it because I have a lot of questions.
And I think those conversations are worth sharing.
